Great tools to show your local images on Lingr

Today, we received a feature request that it'd be great if we had "upload images" feature to share your local images or screenshots on Lingr.

Right now, we don't have a plan to provide such a feature. But the good news is, you already have great tools out there to help you take screenshots, upload them, and paste on Lingr.

1. Jing (for Mac and Windows)

Jing is a great tool to take screenshots or screencasts. You can upload images to screencast.com, your Flickr acocount, or FTP servers. Then the image URL is saved to clipboard, so you can paste it on Lingr.

2. Flingr (for Firefox)

With Firefox installed with Flingr, you just drop your image file onto Firefox window while you're chatting, and boom! That's it. The image will be automatically uploaded to a Flickr account, and posted in your room.

3. Gyazo (for Mac)

Similar to Jing, but much simpler. If you're a Mac user, I recommend to try this first.

There are many other tools available, but those are the ones I myself actually use on a daily basis.
